From Calgary:

Take Highway #1. The driving distance to Sicamous is 480km. You will pass Salmon Arm and then Sorrento. After this, take the Squilax-Anglemont/Scotch Creek turnoff the Highway #1.

From Vancouver:

Take Highway #1 east to the Coquihalla highway #5, to Kamloops. From Kamloops rejoin the Highway #1. You will pass Chase, and after this take the Squilax-Anglemont/Scotch Creek turnoff.

From the turnoff:

You will drive back over the Little River (joining the Little Shuswap Lake and the Shuswap Lake). The next bridge you go over (one lane) crosses the Adams river and the next (also one lane) goes over Scotch Creek. Scotch Creek would be the best place to stop and buy any supplies/groceries if you need, and to refuel. Keep straight along the Squilax-Anglemont highway, the main road along the side of the lake. From Scotch Creek, you will drive through Celista, Magna Bay, and then Anglemont. You will pass the Anglemont Marina on your right (also has a small shop for supplies, which is closest to the cottage for you), and 1 km further on is Gardiner Road on your right. Turn into this and the cottage is 7922 Gardiner Road, on the right, a few houses before the end of the cul-de-sac.
